Travel By Train
It is advised that for train-travel you -
a) Have a young-person's railcard, if you are eligible for one.
b) Check the National-Rail website, and order your train-ticket online. This can often get you a discount.

Full Directions
1. When leaving the train station you will find yourself on London Road. You need to cross the road.
2. Once you do, turn left so you are going alongside Waterloo Way.
3. You will find yourself going up and over the road.
4. Turn right onto New Walk where you will see the Art Museum (the large white building).
5. Keep walking and cross King Street.
6. Once you do you will find yourself walking past the City Council Offices and at the end of New Walk. Turn left towards Welford Road and continue until you see some traffic lights.
7. Go across these where you will find on your right a car park.
8. Keep going straight on down this road until you end up on Oxford Road.
9. Turn left and you will soon see a set of traffic lights where a building owned by the university can be seen on the other side of the road (the large building on the photo).
10. Once you have crossed the road continue down Bonners Lane and pass the DMU Student Union (see photo).
11. Continue onward, go past Gateway Street. Ahead of you will be the Queens Building, inside of which will be Alcon!
Travel By Car
Full Map of Leicester and De Montfort University
From the South From Junction 21 of the M1 ---> A5460 to Leicester city centre. Go four miles, under a railway bridge turn right into Upperton Road, following signs to the universities and the Royal Infirmary. Go over the bridge, then turn left immediately before crossing the river into Western Boulevard. For Queens Building, Eric Wood, James Went and the Loading Bay (Goods
Reception) take the first right into Mill Lane. For Trinity House, Portland Building, Hawthorn Building and Bosworth House take the second right into The Newarke. From the north leave the M1 at Junction 22 and follow the A50 to Leicester (8 miles). When you reach the city centre turn right into Vaughan Way (A5460). Keep in right-hand lane through underpass. After 200 metres, follow road to the left into Newarke Street and keeping in the right-hand lane, turn right into Welford Road (A50). At second set of traffic lights turn right into Carlton Street. Almost
immediately turn right again into Oxford Street, moving into lefthand lane. Take next left into Bonners Lane, continuing into Mill Lane. From the east take the A46 or A47 to Leicester and follow signs for the city centre.
