Important: Alcon 2008 will be held at the city campus of De Montfort University (NOT LEICESTER UNIVERSITY).
The campus is situated just 15 minutes walking distance from both the train and bus stations. All maps were taken from the DMU Website.

Accommodation
There are over 200 places for overnight stay on campus on the halls of residence. Campus rooms are arranged into flats of ten, with each floor having it's own bathroom, kitchen, showers, and lounge area. Supermarkets are nearby, making that kitchen invaluable. Also within walking distance are shops, bars and leisure facilities.
Staying on campus is strongly recommended since it will allow you to participate in night-time events that will go on until 1am, and means you will be just a couple minutes walk away from the convention itself.
We charge £21 a night.
We will be setting up a topic on the forums, allowing people to specify which flat they'd like to stay on, and so be able to stay close to their friends.
Campus Locations
1. The Queens Building.
The Video Gaming Room, the Dealers Room, the Artist's Ally, the first two Anime Screening rooms, the Roleplaying, the panels and the Ops Room are all situated in this building.

 | 2. The Quay Bar.
The Bar is set on two floors and caters for the Evening and Night-Time events. It also contains the DDR area, and some of the Day-Time events too.
3. Bede Halls of Residence.
We shall be hiring out the Bede Halls of Residence. There is an enclosed garden area of some 150m by 150m on this site.

4. Other.
a. Most people will come in from town in this direction from the train station.
b. Spar Shop & Cashpoint.
c. Nat's Off-License (Low-cost and wide selection - Recommended)
d. Safeway, and various takeaways.
Our three sites are all within a couple of minutes walk of each other.
