Pub Quiz: Contestants will be asked a wide range of questions. They.ll be quizzed not only on Anime and Manga, but also Japanese culture and general knowledge. So make sure to have your thinking caps on guys! The quiz will be carried out in true Pub Quiz fashion [with a prize for the winners at the end.]

Karaoke - Let loose and go wild by singing till your heart's content during our karaoke hour. Doesn't matter if you can sing or not, it's all about having fun!

AMV Night - Relax at the bar and enjoy a few AMVs. If you got an AMV you have made and wish to be in the AMV Night Event click on Contact Us and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Charity Auction - A chance to bid for rare, exciting and unusual items. At least 20% of each sale goes toward the convention's charity.
Iron Artist - Do you have what it takes to earn the title of Iron Artist? Competitors battle it out against the clock, using all their ability and imagination as the winning takes all in a knock-out contest. Iron Artist will be ruthlessly judged (hopefully) by a panel of professional artists. One of our big events, check it out!

Cosplay Masquerade - The old convention staple event that is the Masquerade. Would you like to show off your cosplay to masses? Perhaps perform a comedy sketch of some anime-based humor. Various prizes available for a range of categories. Strut your stuff and have a great time at one of the greatest traditions of the anime world. Click here to view rules on weaponary in Cosplaying.

Cosplay Blind-Date - No, we don't really have Cilla Black, but this promises to be a "lotta laughs". There will be four dates - girl/boy, boy/girl, boy/boy and girl/girl (!)

Five minute cosplay - For cosplayers and non-cosplayers alike! We provide the materials and then everyone has about fifteen minutes to make their costume based around an anime. Everyone then acts out a group skit on stage, with the best performance, as decided by the audience, winning a prize! This is all about the comedy and being able to playfully mock the anime! DBZ, Pokemon and Naruto, watch out (No offence, fans!)

Plushie Making Contest - On Friday there will be a Plushie Making Workshop held by a professional plushie artist. One of the activities will be a plushie making contest. Top prize will be a custom made Al-Kun plush!

Lolita Picnic - Attention all Sweet, Elegant and Gothic Lolitas! After a busy weekend of partying, gaming and shopping, head over to the Bede Halls garden for a relaxing picnic in the sun on Sunday afternoon. A few snacks and treats may be provided but please remember to bring your own food and drinks.

Anime Pictionary - So, it's Friday and you've just got in. Want a nice simple, yet fun event to get you started? Why not check out the Anime Pictionary? Draw various anime characters or scenes and have your team guess who or what!

Treasure Hunt - ARR! The ninjas, vampires and pirates clash in this event! During the opening ceremony, twenty items that need to be found during the course of the weekend will be read out. The first between the ninjas or pirates to find all items will win major points, and will be well on the way to overall victory!

VG Party - Partying AND playing video games? Can it really be done? Of course! Complete with retro gaming and remix tracks being played, this event promises to be an absolute delight for Video Gaming fans.

J-Party - What convention is not complete without a J-Party? Party the night away in the lower bar to some of the hottest J-rock songs! Expect to hear some of tunes from your favorite Animes along with music from some of Japans hottest bands!

Battle of the DJs - Want to be Alcon's #1 DJ? We give ALL members the opportunity to signup and trial to be a DJ over our internet radio station. From there, our panel our judges shall pick the top three finalists by March 2008, who will progress into the finals. Each shall DJ at Alcon, and all the members shall vote for their favourite DJ! That DJ will be acknowledged as Alcon's #1, win a prize, and DJ for all of the Sunday night! You can read more and signup HERE for it.

Alcon Assassins - The hunt is on, as the vampires, pirates and ninjas line up here to assassinate each other.... with... clothes pegs!? How can this ever work? More information to follow!
